Went to Chelsea yesterday and firstly me and mum won a prize each when the flower displays were raffled off in the first talking flowers demo. Thank goodness for the new taxi driver. Here is the Diamond Garden from Chelsa.
Well been a busy week, monday class was the pedestal arrangement. Then just a few flowers from the car boot sale yesterday that i made to sell, will show you my stall just as soon as i get the picture in my email box.
The roses, well they are just divine. Blizzard roses with a beautiful scent were just simply handtied, had to keep some for me.
Then the paeonies, ranunculus and snowflake gerbera, if i could eat them i would.
Had a thoroughly enjoyable morning at Moulton College in Peterborough in the grounds of Peterborough Cathedral. Maureen Amies was a very good teacher and a pleasure to work alongside. Here are my results.
Last night we had our club meeting, a fab demonstrator called Bob Harris showed us his interpretation of a magic carpet ride, two of the arrangements shown are Holland and India, and there is also my entry to the competition where i came 2nd, by the way i did fill that bit of oasis you can see with some forget me nots out of the garden. A good night was had by all, and Michael as Tottenham made it into next years champions league.
Had a lovely day out with my friend Linda on Sunday we went to the Tulip Floribunda celebration at Chatsworth House. It was a very cold day but managed to walk round the gardens and after a nice bit of lunch were inspired by Jonathan Moseley's floral displays shared here with you.
Well here is the lovely handtied bouquet i made for one of our poorly friends from the Come Dine Girls, unfortunately Ally couldn't join us on the evening so Claire fondly known to me as Miss Tess of the Durbavilles delivered it. I also have started my evening class again and this was the result of my first arrangement for the new term.
My name is Amanda and I love all things flowers. Flowerscents is a new and exciting journey for you to join me on. I have recently started flower arranging which you can see on my website www.flowerscentsbyamanda.co.uk. I have just become a committee member for one of my local flower clubs and this year I will be taking things a little more seriously entering some competitions. I am also now working Saturdays with a local florist. Hope you will enjoy the journey. I live in Northamptonshire with my fab boyfriend Michael and my darling woof, surrounded by some fab friends and family, and being a Scorpio do have that protective sting where all of them are concerned. My indulgences are flowers, jewellery made by my friend, a good latte and mashed potatoes xx
